My favorite holiday tradition is the Christmas Eve Slumber Party. When my sisters and I were little we would all sleep in the same room to await Santa’s arrival–I think this made it easier for my mother to ensure that none of us would get out of our own rooms while “Santa” put out presents. Now that we are in our 20s and 30s (my older sister married and with a child of her own), we still spend every Christmas Eve together slumber party style, giggling like eight year olds way into the night.

    All the Christmas parties!!!!

  3. Mary Hunter says:

My favorite tradition is Coffee Club at GSPC. Very excited to get to do it for the first time in a long time again this year!

  4. Laura says:

Silent Night is my favorite Christmas song and, like Jeanie and her sisters, my sister and I would stay in the same room on Christmas Eve. We don’t do this any more but it was so fun, we’d just stay up and eventually our parents would split us up, one in their bedroom and one in my sisters room to keep us from sneaking around. I always hated being stuck with Dad because he snores so loud.

  5. Ellen says:

My favorite holiday tradition is waking up SUPER early Christmas morning and going downstairs to figure out which side of the couch filled with presents is MINE! (Yes, I’m 24 and my parents still set up our presents like they always have). We’d open presents, have a scrumptious breakfast casserole and travel to my dad’s parents’ place in Greenwood, SC. This year will be different as we will be staying at home and not traveling to Greenwood to see my grandparents as we have for the past 24 years. This year we will make a new tradition and I can’t wait to see what it will be!
Also, in light of new traditions, I proudly proclaim Justin Bieber’s – Mistletoe to be my favorite song of this holiday season.

My favorite holiday tradition is Annual Champagne night!

  7. Whitney says:

Call me an old lady, but my favorite Christmas song is “Carol of the Bells” by Trans Siberian Orchestra. I was actually rocking out to it last night if you must know. If you’ve never heard it, Youtube it now and thank me later. PLEASE pick me, I love that bracelet! :)

  8. Jenny says:

My favorite holiday tradition is watching A Christmas Story with my mom. Not only is it wonderfully Americana, I’m pretty sure it’s an accurate depiction of her childhood.

  9. Alaina says:

Last Christmas but specifically the George Michael version. Someday, I’ll be that special person that George gives his heart to.

  10. Alyssa says:

I Christmas afternoon– a mimosa or tea ( depending on the mood) and a good book by the fire– that’s the good stuff :). Also on white Christmases we do a cross country ski which is peaceful and invigorating all at once.

  11. Heather says:

I like being in my pajamas all day, particularly with a fire going. Lately also watching my nephews dance to Dance! Dance! on the wii, then my brothers trying to keep up with them.

  12. Ivy says:

I bake my family pillsbury dough cookies with christmas characters, but always end up eating half the cookie dough before it goes into the oven. Also, no one in my family thinks they taste good, so i usually end up eating the rest of the actually baked cookies by myself.

I love those bracelets! My favorite Christmas tradition is watching Meet Me In St. Louis with my mom.

  17. Caroline says:

My favorite holiday tradition growing up was reading The Night Before Christmas just before bed on Christmas Eve! Always got me so excited for Christmas morning that I couldn’t sleep!!

  18. Caitlin says:

You know what mine is! We celebrate on Christmas Eve. After Nick’s Famous Eggplant Parm and Christmas Eve candlelight service at my church, things really get started. My favorite tradition is going for a drive on Christmas Eve with my dad and brother while my mom stays back to tell Santa if we were good that year. It seemed totally logical to me (as my mom explained) that, “Santa has a lot of houses to go to–he just gets an early start with us!”
